Producing high milk yield isn’t easy, but producing milk with high volumes of fat and protein components is even more challenging. Yet there are herds across the country meeting this challenge every day with increasing efficiency. Mike Messman, Cargill Strategic Technology Lead, had a conversation with three elite producers who are reaching seven pounds of components about their key areas management, hurdles they’ve had to overcome and what advice they’d give to fellow dairy farmers looking to improve.
